We started Full Van Fun in September 2015 with a simple idea: share stories, interviews, reviews and more from our life as a mom, dad, and seven kids between baby and 14 (3 boys & 4 girls), focused on travel, farm to family food, and family friendly music that the “full van” (i.e. parents & kids) can enjoy.
Do Things and See Places
We love to travel with our kids. Over the last 3 years alone, we’ve covered more than 20,000 miles in roadtrips as far north as Saguenay, Quebec, as far south as Key West, Florida, as far east as Sydney, Nova Scotia, as far west as Eureka, California and everywhere in between! We also have a special love for National Park and Parks Canada sites (e.g. National Parks, National Monuments, National Historic Sites, etc) and their programs for children (e.g. Junior Ranger and Parks Xplorer). At Full Van Fun we share stories and tips from our travels including places to stay, things to see, fun activities for kids, etc.

Farm to Family Food
As we said in one of our earliest posts, the idea of Farm to Family Food is simple – eat better, together. In other words, make what you eat, know where it came from, and involve the whole family. We are self-taught cooks (thank you Food Network back when you showed shows about how to cook) and we love to explore farmer’s markets and sample local products. At Full Van Fun, we share family recipes (scaled for large families like ours), some of the top food spots from our travels, tips, as well as interviews with key members of the “Farm to Family Food Chain” including chefs, farmers, farmers markets, and more. As we mentioned, at Full Van Fun we like to involve the whole family, so all of our #8isEnoughQuestions interviews include questions from each member of our family.

Rock the Van
Music is a powerful force to bring people together. That is especially true in families. Finding music that everyone can enjoy, brings the family together in a whole new way. Family friendly music isn’t defined by a genre, cartoons, or puppets. Family friendly music is simply great music, performed by incredibly talented artists, that will make your family smile, dance, think, relax, and more. At Full Van Fun we share #8isEnoughQuestions interviews with the artists behind this wonderful music, playlists, tips, and album reviews to see just how “AWESOME” they are for the whole family.
