Over the last two years, we have featured some of our favorite Christmas and Holiday tunes. This year, we’re adding a whole new group of favorites, with our Christmas Calendar Countdown each day. So keep checking back for new songs to enjoy!

December 3, 2017 – 21 days until Christmas!

We start our Christmas Countdown with Blues Traveler and “Christmas” from A Very Special Christmas 3.

December 4, 2017 – 20 days until Christmas!

This time of year we can’t get enough of the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s A Charlie Brown Christmas and one of our favorite tracks, the timeless “O Tannenbaum”. 

December 5, 2017 – 19 days until Christmas!

In preparation for St. Nicholas Day December 6th, which means that on the night of December 5th our children are placing their shoes outside of their bedrooms in hopes they will wake up and find the shoes full of sweets and treats, here’s the Canadian Brass with the classic “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas”

December 6, 2017 – 18 days until Christmas!

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Southern California friends dealing with wildfires! Best wishes for a beautiful “L.A. Christmas” with this fun funky holiday tune from Andrew & Polly and Mista Cookie Jar!

December 7, 2017 – 17 days until Christmas!

Tonight was the first of back to back holiday parties! So we celebrate with a jazzy “Feliz Navidad” from Tom Scott and GRP Christmas Volume III . . .

December 8, 2017 – 16 days until Christmas!

Day two of back to back Christmas parties with a rocking and rolling “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” from Relient K.

December 9, 2017 – 15 days until Christmas!

To celebrate the Oklahoma City Zoo receiving a new hippopatamus this holiday season, Oklahoma’s own Gayla Peevey visited the zoo today for a special treat! Join in – “I want a hippopatamus for Christmas . . .” (about 14 minutes in)

December 10, 2017 – 14 days until Christmas!

The kids are really hoping to watch Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer tonight, so here’s one of our favorites from the timeless classic.

December 11, 2017 – 13 days until Christmas!

One of our favorite new CDs of this holiday season is Emily Arrow’s Wintertime Singalong! Here’s one of our favorite tracks, a brightly reimagined Vince Guaraldi classic, “Christmas Time is Here”.

Yes it is another song from one of the Very Special Christmas albums, but Tracy Chapman’s soulful O Holy Night is one of our favorite renditions of one of our favorite Christmas songs.

December 18, 2017 – 6 days until Christmas!

Only 6 days until Christmas? Can it really be true? In the craziness of this last week before Christmas, it’s always good to take a moment and remind yourself to have a “Merry Little Christmas”!

While the album is filled with fun and spirit, it’s the quiet grace of his Christmas Peace that is our pick for this Christmas Eve.
